St. Luke’s, Boise Idaho

After more than a year of Webex and Remote installation problems, St. Luke’s contracted with Friedrick to come on-site for a week of installation, training and production.  Friedrick trained Luke Hayhurst to photograph and develop PEER presentations. Over the fall and winter, Luke created more than 60 procedures for O.R. PEER.

Blue Cross Blue Shield Pitch

On the way back to Montana, from President Obama’s Inauguration in Washington DC, Friedrick met up with Jonathan Bishoff to pitch O.R. PEER to the managing director of the Blue Cross Blue Shield Venture Fund. Their hang-up with O.R. PEER was that it lacked defensibility; – a common response from Venture Capitalists.

Protecting the software with CrypKey

  To protect the software under development, Friedrick purchased a CrypKey Licensing service.  Now that the software was protected he was able to install the new versions of O.R. PEER on hospital servers without fear of someone stealing the intellectual property.


Continuous Improvement

Satisfaction Survey

After the first PowerPoint presentations were built, a survey was administered to 35 of the staff members.

  • 91% had used the system
  • 82% had attended hands-on training;
  • 85% had used the PEER system in the first month;
  • 93% rated the value of the peer system highly (7-10 on a scale of 1-10);
  • 91% wanted more procedures to be available;
  • 97% reported the system was easy to use (7-10 on a scale of 1-10);
  • 96% expressed overall satisfaction with the system after only one month (7-10on a scale of 1-10)
