Tree House

With the recent orders to cease and desist and half our marketing still to be distributed, Txtbus went underground&, we moved the office off Pearl Street and into a 3 bedroom house off Walnut.  The Living room was converted into a 3 man office, pictured above.  With space in the kitchen and a bedroom for other volunteers to work or stage. The apartment had four floors and a creek in the back.

We dubbed it the “Tree House”. From here we could continue operations, without attracting official attention.  The Txtbus team worked for meals and stock. Trips to Costco became a weekly chore.  It wasn’t uncommon to spend $1,000 a week to keep as many as 8 people a day fed and working hard.
