New Customers, New Problems

Posted by Friedrick on May 1, 2012 in OR PEER

With 5 new clients, Friedrick began to realize the problems working with large hospitals.  There were half a dozen stake holders in each hospital that he had to work with. Each IT department had its own policies and procedures.  Dealing with issues was complicated because sometimes the hospitals would allow remote-login, sometimes they didn’t.

The biggest problem was caused by the Crypkey licensing application.  It then became a question of “Do I protect my software or do I sell it?”

Ultimately Friedrick spent months working on customized versions of each software to be used at each facility. Without a consultant to come onsite, production of content was rare causing the software not to be used.  Friedrick quickly discovered that his concept of an “off-the-shelf” hospital product wasn’t going to work.  On-site training, installation and production would be necessary for O.R. PEER to work properly.
